Responsibilities & Key Activitiesn

The Role

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will join one of our multidisciplinary engineering teams and work on our core, customer-facing platform. This platform supports our e-commerce, billing and CMS systems and is built to scale across multiple markets.

You will be part of a full-stack Scrum team, translating requirements into high-quality, maintainable solutions. You collaborate closely with fellow engineers and other departments across the organisation. Operating in a competitive and fast-moving market means adaptability and curiosity are essential.

Our platform serves customers across multiple countries and regions, so you will work with internationalisation, localisation and region-specific requirements. The team is distributed across multiple countries and works comfortably in a remote-first setup. At the same time, we value in-person collaboration and creativity, which is why we ask you to join us at our Almere office at least one day per week.

What you will do

You contribute to building and maintaining a high-traffic, high-availability platform. You collaborate with other engineers on scalable and reliable solutions. You translate functional and technical requirements into clean, well-structured code. You actively participate in code reviews, pair programming and continuous improvement of the codebase.

You enjoy working with modern technologies and architectures and like to experiment with new approaches. AI plays an important role in your daily workflow, whether for prototyping, improving code quality or working more efficiently. You help promote an AI-first mindset within the team, while maintaining high standards for quality, performance and maintainability. You challenge existing choices, propose new ideas and contribute to the growth of both the product and the team.

Job Requirements

You are a team player who enjoys collaboration, takes initiative and embraces responsibility. You like being challenged and challenging others in a constructive way. You are analytical, curious and stay up to date with developments in the field. You are comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams and use a critical mindset to continuously improve yourself and the team. You communicate clearly and feel at home in an international working environment. Your English is at an advanced or native level.

You live in the Netherlands and are able to come to our office at least one day per week. Unfortunately, we cannot consider candidates who are not currently based in the Netherlands.

You have strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript, React or another modern frontend framework, and digital e-commerce platforms. You are familiar with AI-powered code editors and models, event-based architectures and microservices. You have worked with Docker and Kubernetes, GraphQL, RabbitMQ and SQL.

Experience with Java, Medusa JS, Payload CMS, Kill Bill, Next.js (App Router), Tailwind CSS and modern CSS is considered a plus.

Employment Conditions

We offer a challenging role within an international and technically mature organisation. You will work with experienced colleagues in an open and informal culture where initiative and new ideas are valued. We work in a hybrid setup with plenty of flexibility, while asking for at least one day per week at our Almere office. In addition, we offer a competitive salary, solid secondary benefits, room for personal development and the opportunity to work on a platform with real scale and impact. As an employee, you automatically earn Share Points, which can be converted into Good Shares. This way, you become a small part owner and share in the success we build together.

You can also expect:

  • A salary within a competitive market range
  • Allowances for internet, phone, and remote working
  • A generous budget for personal development and training
  • A contribution towards setting up your home workspace
  • The opportunity to participate financially in the company
  • A pension scheme with employer contribution
  • Travel expense reimbursement and public transport facilities
  • Additional perks such as on-site amenities, shared lunches, and sports benefits

And just as important: you have the drive to keep learning. What you don’t yet master, you will develop along the way.

Application

Apply or ask a question via the “Apply” button. When applying, please include your CV and a motivation letter. In your motivation, we ask you to not only share your general interest, but also explicitly address each requirement. Please demonstrate, point by point, how you meet the criteria, or explain how you would approach it if you do not (fully) meet a specific requirement.
